Gospel, Identity, Rhythms

The Bible tells a grand redemptive story that finds its climax in Jesus' life, death and resurrection--it's through Jesus that all of creation will be restored. Beginning, middle, end... the whole Story (and our part in it) is all about Jesus. The gospel is the power of God to save us for the purpose of his glory. Learn more about the centrality of the gospel for Soma Eastside...

The gospel changes our very identity. We are now new creations, "the old has gone and the new has come." We believe who we are is based on who God is and what he's done for us in Jesus, not what we do or don't do. We're far from perfect, but we are learning to live in this new gospel identity together.  Find out more...

We are children of God the Father who live and care for each other as a family. We are sent by Jesus and empowered by his Spirit to make disciples, participating in the Father's work of restoring all things to himself. We are servants of Jesus, our king, who serve others as a way of life. We are disciples of Jesus who take responsibility for our own development and that of others.

Because of who we are through faith in Jesus, we are learning to reorient everything we do around the gospel.  As missional communities in and around Issaquah, our everyday rhythms of life are becoming infused with the truth of the gospel. Find out how we live...

Missional Communities are the primary context where we are immersed in the gospel and we live out our new identity in these rhythms of life together.  While Sunday gatherings remain important, we are growing toward the church existing primarily as Missional Communities proclaiming and demonstrating the gospel in our neighborhoods. Sundays

We gather together each Sunday morning as a family of families to celebrate who God is and what he has done for us, as well as to be equipped and encouraged to live out our identity as disciples of Jesus in our communities throughout the week.
